Ptarmigan grouse In the emblem connected to Kiruna kommun you will find the grouse. There are two kinds, the ptarmigan and the willow grouse. The willow grouse you will find in the mountain area of Norrland, but you can find them as far down as the coast. The ptarmigan grouse mostley live above the tree line in the mountains. In Sweden we hunt grouse from late August until March. The handicrafts Amoung Bo-Görans handicraft we find the ptarmigan grouse. The one on top is a necklace and its diameter is 10 mm. The other four grouses are ornaments. All handicraft can be made in different materials, as sallow, birch and reindeer antler. Even moose antler can be useful in making these types of handicrafts.
